Job description:
- Acts as GBS SAP Velocity Accounts Payable Regional Business Process Owner for Europe, leading deployment of SAP AP Velocity System in Europe plus assist with the project’s global deployments:Is focused on process optimization and Key performance indicators improvement.
- Tests the system to ensure it meets the requirements.
- Participates in organizational change management activities for the deployment locations.
- Engage with the global hub or regional spokes project management teams who are taking on the work to ensure they are properly trained.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationship with internal customer/Finance GBS Europe teams to facilitate efficient process, being aware of the wide range of deadlines applied.
- Communicates throughout the project lifecycle to ensure stakeholder engagement and work to move the stakeholders towards acceptance.
- Manages the local team to distribute and execute tasks diligently & follows up in line with associated timeline. .
- Ensures documentation packs for all projects and trainings are kept up to date and relevant.
- Identifies and escalates potential systems and process improvements to the management to promote improvement and increase efficiency.
- Establishes a clear step by step checklist and training program and engages related teams and functions as and when to effectively achieve KPI’s.
- Trains, mentors, and develops staff to ensure employees are motivated to support initiatives in his responsibility and are consistently driven by results.
- Promotes and maintains positive and professional image by building strong relationships with internal and external customers and by leading by example.
- Provides relevant data to support issue resolution by collecting, evaluating, and compressing the data and information from multiple sources, resolving conflicts and differences between actual and required needs.
- Reviews and optimizes current and creates new reports based on team´s requirements.
- Implements weekly/monthly meetings
- Key aspects of the role include project management, planning and prioritizing, goal setting, monitoring, and working to tight deadlines.
- Has a key role in ensuring the compliant process is in place.
Requirements:
- Graduation in commerce or related is required and a professional qualification: CA/ ACCA is preferred
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in AP Senior role would be highly regarded
- Good understanding of the Procure to Pay processes
- Practical experience in accounting
- Knowledge of ERP and PC-based computer systems is desired
- Experience with VBA/Macro scripting, MS Access, Power BI is preferred
- Good understanding of written and spoken English is essential
