Role overview:

An Electrical Distributions System Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of EDS circuits, including prototype build support and plant launch, you will be able to understand technical specifications and circuit SDS requirements and present status of commodity at senior reviews and be the customer interface for technical questions.

This position will be based in Gaydon, UK.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain electrical schematics utilizing ECAD Capital mentor graphics tool
  • Collect and check electrical systems / device transmittal from customer or suppliers
  • Create engineering data to support the creation of Harness drawings.
  • Investigate the incorporation of new / existing circuitry into EDS systems.
  • Prepare EDS Systems electrical schematics and engineering change documentation using Customer tools and Lear systems
  • Define power / ground requirement.
  • Check harness drawings during release process to ensure accuracy of systems design.
  • Support customer compatibility reviews
  • Study any complexity effects of proposed or given design changes, internally or from the customer.
  • Support harness design reviews, prototype builds and test boards for EDS system issues.

 

Key skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Experience of circuits design using ECAD tools using Mentor graphics capital tool (Logical, Integrator and XC).
  • Experience of working with design of vehicle electrical systems
  • Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring harness drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic system function
  • Be an effective communicator demonstrating highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
