WAREHOUSE MANAGER
DUNCAN, SOUTH CAROLINA

 

As a member of the leadership team, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for stock control, inventory management, logistics, and floor productivity. Incumbents in this classification are primarily responsible for coordinating all activities related to the planning, directing, and overseeing warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will analyze the plant’s personnel and capital resources to select the best way of meeting the logistics goals, reducing costs wherever possible, and ensuring products are received and shipped on time and correctly meeting all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) specifications.

 

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Enforces health, safety, and environmental regulations within area of responsibility (Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, Plant side materials)
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the moving of materials.
  • Manages and coordinates warehouse operations, storage, order fulfillment and shipping
  • Confers with senior management to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrates equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Observes work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to Lear standards.
  • Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Monitors and reviews information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
  • Develops specific material goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and meet customer requirements.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Reviews processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Reviews operations and confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve materials or processing problems.
  • Reviews incoming freight for damage.
  • Performs/schedules 5S audits.
  • Monitors the logistics process run to make sure that it stays on schedule and correct any problems that may arise.
  • Manages Warehouse personnel
  • Devises ways to make the receiving process more efficient.
  • Responsible for Coupa management within the department.
  • Responsible for outgoing shipments/reorders and maintaining adequate inventory levels at the customer.

 

 

Your Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years’ experience in a management role in the Automotive Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA, and TS16949 requirements and compliance.
  • Experienced in SAP-WM System.
