Volvo Torslanda Resident Engineer Electronics - Wire Harness

Key Tasks

Foresee problems at customer line which could lead to a claim.

Build a tight and solid professional relationship with customer at plant level.

Be identified as the Lear rep, qualified to deal with customer production issues. Get customer credibility through commitments fulfill.

Ensure an open and straight communication line between customer and Lear Plants

Suggest improvements to both customer and Lear.

 Immediately analyze problems at customer’s facility to find the proper solution (and avoid claim), and inform affected Lear plants to take appropriate corrective actions. Proactive channeling of information on existing claims to the Plant to perform the analysis and solve them.

Provide continuous feedback to the customer about the status and evolution of existing claims.

Manage Quality figures (PPM, WCs or any other customer indicator) by dealing with customer about the number of nok pieces to be reported (shared ownership).

Improve the design during prototype and sample stages by making effective contributions at both customer and Lear facilities.

Participate in the customer Quality meetings.

Seek continuous feedback, formal and informal, of customer satisfaction degree about our product and service

Report on a regular basis (defined by the supervisor) to the Manufacturing plant, Engineering and Program Management organization;

Support the components design process with the proper DFM from Lear and Volvo DFA, to have a product feasible for the manufacturing with the best quality and lower cost that fulfills Customer needs. Team working with the involved Team (Components responsible, Customer, Supplier, other);

Participate on any prototype, pre-serial builds or line trials at Customer

 

Key Requirements

  • Engineer graduated master in quality manufacturing may be a plus.
  • Excellent communication Skills.
  • Quality knowledge in automotive field is a must
  • Fluent in English is a must and Swedish would be a plus
