OPERATIONS MANAGER
Kenansville, NC

 

As a member of the Operations team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the four manufacturing areas in the facility providing daily guidance to the area managers, defining plans to execute production schedules while managing the labor associated with the manufacturing teams. The Operations Manager will have direct responsibility for overseeing compliance to safety, quality and manufacturing processes while operating within the policies defined by Lear.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring Operator tasks are being carried out in safe and efficient manor and in compliance with documented SOP’s and work instructions
  • Confer with the materials team to ensure customer define manufacturing schedules are established and feasible. Define and execute plans to achieve schedules.
  • Work closely with the quality and engineering team to effectively address and prevent loss opportunities such as internal scrap, external quality concerns and optimized material usage
  • Build and develop a strong cohesive team to establish leadership depth within the organization.
  • Support continuous improvement process utilizing team approach to implement improvements
  • Establish & Review metrics for each department including safety, quality, delivery, cost control, material flow, employee engagement, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Drive employee engagement through various initiatives including kaizen events, waste walks, employee problem solving occurrences, etc.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 7+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex environments
  • Ability to interact with all levels in the organization
  • Lead by example and act as a change agent
  • Ability to work within a team environment and drive results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to convey concepts and visions to a wide range of audiences
  • Lean manufacturing experience is strongly desired

 

Bonus If You Have:

  •   Textile manufacturing experience
