EHS Manager

EHS Leader Seating East Europe & North Africa:

 

Lear Corporation is looking for someone to Lead our Envrionmental, Health and Safety function across Eastern Europe within our Seating business.

Based in a manufacturing operation ideally in Legnica or Tychy, this position is the EHS contact for the respective manufacturing sites within the region and the main link to the Regional EHS Seating Manager and Director.

 

The objective is to develop a culture that will achieve a safe workplace free from occupational hazards, that protects the natural environment and contributes to the conservation of natural resources in compliance with local EHS regulations and the Company’s directives and guidelines and ensure that the sites are given the guidance and support they need to achieve their expected outcomes.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•            Support and guide operations to implement the Company’s EHS requirements including EHS Management System, Directives, Best Practices, Standard Work Procedures and Energy Efficiency Initiatives.

•            Act as liaison between site EHS Leaders and the Regional EHS team to implement Regional and Corporate EHS requirements and help develop the site EHS leaders.

•            Ensure sites report promptly and accurately any accident, incident or illness following Lear’s standard work.

•            Support operations to ensure all country regulatory EHS requirements are known, understood, and implemented. Keep abreast of any new local regulation affecting the Company’s operations.

•            Establish an internal countrywide HSE network to identify common projects and synergies and share best practices and promote teamwork.

•            Assist in managing the performance and development of EHS leaders and help identify under-performing team members and those with high potential

•            Assist in managing EHS leaders on PIPS (Performance Improvement Plans) within the Region

•            Ensure that all operational safety & environmental reporting data in the country is accurate. Analyze trends and explain any deviations above or below the accepted deviation %.

•            Assist the EHS Manager Seating EU/AF in ensuring all Dashboard and other monthly reports and KPI’s are completed in full

•            Ensure any read across actions from accidents, incidents audits or other sources are communicated to site level and actions tracked to completion

•            Lead and support the investigation of Lost time case accidents and serious near miss events to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans. Review 8D investigations to ensure they are ready for regional business review

•            Assist and drive the sites to encourage ergonomic training, support and ensure participation of local EHS representatives in activities like Kaizen to incorporate ergonomic Humantech analysis. Share best ergonomic practices and ensure implementation
