Senior Manager - Industry 4.0 Execution (m,w,d)- EU and Africa

About the Role:


Lead the execution of the Industry 4.0 projects for introducing intelligent automation into EU & Africa JIT and Structures Plants, as part of the EU Industry 4.0 strategy. This includes macro level project management, management of the Integration Teams (including coaching and mentoring), reporting out to Senior Management, communication with Suppliers, confirmation of Business cases with the Plant teams, feedback of lessons learned and opportunities to refine the standard solutions.
Role primary objective is to be responsible for safely delivering operating solutions within the timing agreed and within the defined budgets to the standards defined.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the Industry 4.0 Execution/Integration Teams to:
    • Ensure that there is a clear business case or operational need for each project and ensure all LEAR standards
    • Ensure Capex spend profile is managed correctly, including reporting to Central Finance team 
    • Ensure Project timing is adhered to and suppliers are managed proactively 
    • Ensure all Lear EHS standard and local authority regulations are complied with
    • Tracking of all Industry 4.0 project savings and reporting to senior Operations Leaders and Corporate Industry 4.0 team
    • Flawless launch and zero Customer impact
  • Manage the Strategic Industry 4.0 roadmap: 
    • Work closely with senior operational leadership and central functions to define Industry 4.0 Roadmap to support business Long Range Plan
    • Work closely with Operations Directors to define localized Industry 4.0 Roadmap for each BU
    • Support the creation of Industry 4.0 Playbook, aligned to Corporate Industry 4.0 direction
    • Team Development 
  • Improve Industry 4.0 KPI 

 

Your profile:

 

  • Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing Qualification
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Continuous Improvement
  • Demonstrated Leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Transformation / Industry 4.0/ Big Data/Etc
  • Strong Project Management experience with delivering turnkey solutions, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering quality results on-time and in-full
  • Strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and adaptability
  • Working knowledge of latest CE, EHS and legal requirements with regards to Equipment installations within Europe
  • Strong management reporting skills as well as budget management
  • High Standard of English and German language
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to travel
