Overview:

We are looking for a Resident Engineer to become a local Lear representative and first contact for the customer onsite within BMW’s offices in Munich in all technical subjects between the customer and Lear. The Resident Engineer will act as a conduit between the Customer and Lear within our E-Systems division.

Your responsibilities:

• Leadership: you are the key technical customer interface on the design and support to engineering team
• Growth: you pursuit new business and support RFI/RFQ
• You package and release parts into the Customer Engineering release system 
• PCR tracking: you initiate and support customer change management process for engineering changes
• You give support to the OEM, Tier 2 and Lear
• Quality: you're the main contact for OEM for vehicle build issues and on-site support for quality issue

Your qualifications to be a success in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Telecom Engineering
• 3+ years working experience in the automotive industry
• Experienced in diagnostics execution for problem resolution:
  • Car configuration maintenance according internal and external requests
  • Diagnostic specification know-how
  • Dealer diagnostics usage know-how
• Knowledge of Lauterbach/Trace32 
• CANoe configurations handling and panels edition via programming interfaces
  • Tools: Subversion, SVN, DOORS, JIRA and SEM
• First leadership experience 
• Fluent in English, German and/or Spanish languageskills is an advantage
