Main purpose:  To repair and maintain all plant equipment and machinery to minimize production down time, maintain factory and general to safety requirements.


Some other responsibilities would include:

Maintain preventative maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery.
Conduct PLC fault finding.
Refurbishment of machine parts where required.
Responsible for predictive and preventative maintenance plan.
Repair production equipment and general maintenance of the plant.
Repairs and maintenance of conveyors.
Weld steel structures where required using gas and arc welding equipment.
Monthly machine maintenance in line with relevant schedule or relative problem areas.
Monitoring of up and down times of machinery.
Oversee measuring of all hoisting equipment in the plant.
Responsible to maintain and keep critical spares list updated
Liaise with external service providers for all maintenance requirements.
Supervision of maintenance technicians.



Matric plus relevant Millwright qualification. Relevant National Diploma in Engineering would be advantageous.



Minimum 5 years Millwright maintenance experience or senior engineering position, within which at least 3 years need to be in a maintenance supervisory capacity.



Pneumatic & hydraulic electronic; electro mechanical; electronic; PLC steamers and welding experience is essential.
