As a member of the Global Engineering team, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of leather finishing process equipment.  High focus on finishing application equipment with high chemical transfer efficiency and low environmental impact.  Chemical distribution, quick color changeover systems.


The Role:

  • Direct “hands on” Product, Process, and Equipment Development for new unreleased designs of leather Seating components
  • Develop and rollout of innovative Finishing processing equipment Globally
  • Research and development of Environmentally friendly finishing equipment.  Zero spray booth external exhaust, Low to no water consumption.
  • Guide and development of plant personnel on proper technique and usage of processing equipment 
  • Equipment Development/ implementation Engineering, Finishing Systems
    Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-7 years work experience in Automotive Finishing Applications.  Preferred experience with Leather finishing processes.
  • Experience with Automotive finishing chemicals and finishing systems.
  • Proven ability to be engaged and perform across the entire spectrum from equipment design/development to full in-plat implementation. 
  • Open creative/innovative mind set.
  • Self-starter, ability to work in an open environment.
  • Ability to work with all levels and functions of a manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to travel Globally as required for research and program implementation.
