Corporate Payroll Administrator, Financial Shared Services

Southfield, Michigan

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Corporate Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll preparation for his/her assigned locations within Lear Corporation.  The position is responsible for processing the payroll for the U.S. hourly union and non-union population.

Tasks include the entry of tax and direct deposit information for employees, calculation of payroll adjustments, and preparation of manual checks. 

Also included are the maintenance of all aspects for court orders; responding to interrogatories, set up of court order within PeopleSoft and JBA, processing of payments and mailing of checks for his/her assigned locations.

The Corporate Payroll Administrator also audits the payroll process to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.   

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes the hourly payroll.
  • Maintains court orders, tax, and direct deposit information for employees within your assigned locations.
  • Entry of and responses to any court orders for employees within your assigned locations.
  • Process vacation payments.
  • Data entry of W2 adjustments quarterly and annually.
  • Process payment of all court orders.

 

EDUCATION

An Associate’s degree in Accounting or General Business or Certified Payroll Professional is preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of two years of relevant payroll experience

 

The successful candidate must have experience with:

  • PeopleSoft HRIS/payroll system
  • Internal Revenue Service payroll regulations
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements as applicable to payroll
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
