JOB TITLE - EHS Specialist I/Development Program Member
JOB LOCATION - Based on the current assignment, will rotate to different USA locations.
As a member of the EHS team, the EHS Specialist I will be responsible for assisting EHS programs in various locations to reduce risk and establish proactive practices and culture. This is also a rotational assignment (generally relocating after 9 months to a year), designed to develop the employee into a future site level EHS Leader through exposures to various Lear operations and EHS risk types.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Lear EHS Development Program members will gain valuable experience, completing EHS assignments in a Lear manufacturing or administrative offices to strengthen their environmental, health, and safety technical expertise and understanding, and grow their Lear business knowledge. Specific skills include Risk Assessment and Control methodology, 8D Problem Solving, Directive Implementation, Employee Committee leadership, Industrial Hygiene, Hazardous Waste Management, Leadership Standard Work, Project Management and Training.
Environmental, health and safety technical and business aspects within the Lear Corporation Seating and Electrical divisions. Specialist will combine theory and practice in executing EHS projects. Rotational employees will also have the opportunity to network and interact with management and receive mentorship and a structured performance evaluation through Talking Points.
Your Qualifications:
- Undergraduate 4-year degree in an EHS related field
- A passion to personally learn and grow
- Must be able and willing to work in a Lear global location.
- Ability to relocate within the United States on a 9 month to 1 year frequency, for 3 years
Bonus If You Have:
A scholastic concentration on environment, health and safety. Work or academic experience utilizing the environmental, health and safety discipline. Strong leadership record, with active participation in environmental, health and safety forums, and conferences. A passion to personally learn and grow. If applicable, the capability to work part time during school year. (Master’s Students).
