LEARPICS DEPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
SOUTHFIELD, MI OR REMOTE

 

As a member of the LearPICS team, the LearPICS Deployment Specialist will be responsible for deploying, and supporting the LearPICS Suite of applications.  The LearPICS Suite is a Lear proprietary IBM iSeries (AS/400) based ERP/MRP system comprised of several applications.  Its primary focus is on controlling shop floor and warehousing operations while interfacing with several internal and external systems.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • IBM iSeries operations.
  • Collaboration with plant and/or corporate teams to perform analysis of the build process and production requirements and convert into technical specifications for the setup and configuration of LearPICS.
  • Perform project planning, reporting, deployments, and enhancements of LearPICS suite.
  • Identify necessary/future enhancements of the system and submit change requests to LearPICS development teams.
  • Train IT and non-IT users in system functions.
  • Provide first level support to existing installations throughout North America - providing helpdesk support and problem resolution.
  • Perform technical analysis of identified problems and work closely with the plant to resolve.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of plant and corporate personnel.
  • Utilize a self-motivated work ethic to finish tasks.
  • Build effective relationships with other members of the team and provide knowledge, support, and expertise.
  • Travel when necessary up to 35%.

Your Qualifications:

  • IBM iSeries operations and program architecture knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Project Management experience required.

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience working in the Automotive IT Environment.
  • Experience with support and deployment of MES systems.
  • EDI knowledge
