NORTH AMERICAN PRODUCT SALES MANAGER, CONFIGURE+
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN

 

As a member of the New Strategic Initiatives team, the Product Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business in new and existing accounts, as well as play a key role in driving strategic initiatives across North America with the ultimate goal being increased business awards and revenues for Lear’s configurable seating product line, ConfigurE+.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Research and identify new opportunities for the ConfigurE+ product line with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer decision makers with across multiple functions (Engineering, Purchasing, Strategy, Customer Insights, Advance Development, etc.) within key customers
  • •Develop and maintain a network of contacts and partners within key customers and suppliers across multiple functions (Engineering, Purchasing, Adv Development, etc.)
  • Develop product presentations outlining the value of the ConfigurE+ product line, and present to customers to increase product awareness. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly updates to internal executive members.
  • Clearly communicate customer requirements and industry trends to internal Lear cross-functional team members (commercial sales, product strategy, engineering, etc.) in order to develop business growth plans and product strategies.
  • Identify product gaps and proposed product solutions based on customer feedback and industry trends.
  • Monitor key opportunities on a recurring basis to accomplish future revenue growth objectives.
  • Develop strategies and action plans leading to increased sales revenues.
  • Develop strong internal relationships to collectively work towards a common goal of creating customer value.
  • Maintain pipeline management process and predictable forecasting for account(s).

Your Qualifications:

  • Ability to forge customer relationships with purchasing, engineering, & business teams of our customers
  • Persistence to achieve revenue & profit goals
  • Ability to compile and present business cases for leadership approval
  • Business acumen including negotiation skills and understanding of financial business cases
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and convey product value propositions with customers
  • Able to interface globally with sales teams and customers
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage large & varied workload, set priorities and close business
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
  • Resourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Ability to understand and answer basic product questions without involving engineering.
  • 3+yrs experience working in the commercial vehicle industry
  • Technical competence to be able to present to customers without engineering or product management involvement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
