As a member of the E-Systems strategy team, the Product Portfolio Strategy Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting the execution of product portfolio strategy projects to achieve a differentiated market position leading to profitable growth for Lear’s E-System division.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead and support the study of market trends and their implications to Lear E-Systems
  • Support the creation of robust market and technology analyses and associated strategies
  • Build and refine market models / business cases that identify profitable growth opportunities
  • Develop clear and concise communications regarding strategy development and conclusions
  • Engage and support cross functional teams to align product portfolio strategy
  • Drive primary and secondary research initiatives for ongoing engagements


Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other Technical discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Automotive Body Electronics and Power Distribution development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and propose product features and business models to address
  • Experience in synthesizing complex information for product strategy creation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make presentations to all levels of management and executives
  • Business acumen – ability to put technical and strategic questions in a business framework and vice versa
  • Industry knowledge – Deep understanding of automotive technology landscape and trends
  • Technical Aptitude –ability to understand and be inquisitive about technology
  • People Skills – Ability to connect with people and create insights from those interactions
  • Decision-making skills – ability to create decision frameworks and make strategically sound and justified recommendations
  • Problem solving aptitude – ability to tackle big and challenging questions
  • Level-headed demeanor – not easily frustrated
  • Leadership – ability to rally a team and lead towards new ways of thinking and operating
  • Analytical / learning oriented – ability to create insights from research and data

  • Confident – confidence to take new and bold recommendations forward


Bonus If You Have:

  • MBA
  • Automotive vehicle EE architecture and wiring experience a plus
