Lear's Corporate Strategy team plays a critical role in development and articulation of the company's long-term strategy. As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, the Senior Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting strategy definition through research, analysis, and synthesis of insights on relevant markets, competitors, new products/technologies, and more. The position requires a highly analytical and creative thinker that is comfortable with ambiguity and working in cross-functional environments. This role reports to the VP of Corporate Strategy.  


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Researching and evaluating industry dynamics to inform key growth initiatives for the organization
  • Providing analytical support on a variety of high-visability and time-sensitive projects to advance near/far-term business goals, which may include competitive monitoring, market assessment, and scenario modeling
  • Conducting research to inform the development and evaluation of new growth options, including business plans, operating models, and impactful products/technologies
  • Serving as the analytical point-person on cross-functional strategy deliverables with complex data sets
  • Supporting the synthesis of findings through documents and deliverables with clear recommendations for the leadership team and cross-functional business partners
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform the organization’s inorganic growth opportunities, and assist the Corporate Development team with strategy support
  • Assisting with internal strategic planning processes, as required


Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area such as business, finance, or engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with a strategy consulting firm, corporate strategy group, or related (preferred)
  • Experience working in the automotive and/or technology sectors strongly desired
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, with ability to think big picture, develop conceptual frameworks, and leverage data and analyses to formulate an opinion quickly on time-sensitive subject matter
  • Strong analytical capability, with ability to process large quantities of data with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Highly entrepreneurial, motivated, and collaborative
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint


Note: For candidates with additional relevant experience, a Manager level role may be considered.
