Data Scientist for Purchasing Department

Your responsibilities

Responsible for the procurement of commodities through the development and implementation of commodity strategies plans and the management of supplier relationship

  • Drive saving strategies
  • Develop a team to focus on activities that will bring the most of value for Lear
  • Process purchasing requisitions ensuring no backlog
  • Translate business problems into statistical/scientific questions
  • Suggest a variety of approaches and communicate pros/cons
  • Build models, algorithms, prototypes, and proof of concepts to generate savings.
  • Identify new uses for existing data
  • Research sources for for complementary data acquisition
  • Collaborate with the rest of the purchasing teams to improve achievements of their objectives.
  • Implement procurement strategy and policies.
  • Forecast procurement needs.
  • Create and implement KPI’s.
  • Track Purchasing activity and measurements

 

Your profile

  • University degree with Master in Data Analytics.
  • Experience in a BIG4 Or in a multinational savings driven environment.
  • 3 Years experience in data science/purchasing/procurement.
  • Previous experience managing a team and using python are a plus.
