EU SAP MM/PP Business Process Owner

The Business Process Owner leads the activities of implementing SAP and related application solutions and functionality which effectively support all LEAR Divisions in Europe. The role entails knowledge and experience in the full SAP project life cycle methodology, including blueprinting and GAP analysis, configuration, documentation, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization & hyper-care support. This role is a senior cross-functional position that supports a full range of end to end business processes.

 

The SAP MM/PP BPO is responsible for design and management of the EU SAP templates/ customization for all aspects of the materials management and production planning solutions, in order to standardize processes, maximize efficiency and to minimize future changes and developments (for the full PTP functionality).  This includes (but not limited to) creation of the AS IS documentation following reviews with site and central teams, drafting of the related BBP documents (technical details finalized by the BA team) and presentation to the plant teams and KUs. The BPO is also responsible for management of the associated gap list and initial creation of the associated RFCs and FTDS documents (the technical sections to be completed by the BA) and approval and testing of the delivered solutions.

 

Secondly, the MM/PP BPO is also responsible for control and management of all MM and PP D&D requests from plant locations to be in line with the long-term EU SAP template strategy and liaising with both the plant and BA teams to deliver required improvements on time and in line with customer requirements.

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience with SAP MM, PP and JIT processes in a project environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of JIT Scheduling Agreements, EDI processes and Purchasing Scheduling Agreements.
  • Experience with a decentralized warehouse environment.
  • Experience of Production Planning in the automotive industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SAP Logistic Mobile solution.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP SD and WM configuration and data elements
  • Ability to support and identify process improvements for the areas of Inventory Management and Production Planning.
  • Ability to develop functional specifications across functions.
  • Knowledge of the integration points with other Key modules SD/ WM / FI
  • Knowledge of SAP workbench, LSMW and IDOC-processing.
  • Experience in data migration and control.
  • Ability to support BA team to complete interfaces to supporting applications and test import/ export data for confirmation of SAP treatment/ impacts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the SAP template solution being developed and implemented in Europe and direct developments to the BA team for delivery for testing in line with the EU template and customer requirements.
  • Drive and control the planning and implementation of new and modified solutions to support the MM/PP and JIT functional end to end processes.
  • Work with the BA team for them to provide Level 2 and 3 support for MM/PP related business processes and applicable IT solutions for D&D and project implementations.
  • Document the relevant business processes for each stage of the change management process.
  • Protect and ensure the integrity of the LEAR business processes within the SAP template solution.
  • Manage own work within the project team and ensure consistency and communication
  • Participate in the analysis and design of the SAP rollout solutions as it relates to MM and PP functional areas.
  • Coordinate activities with other SAP team members

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel will be expected when required to produce a successful SAP launch.  (Estimated -40 Percent).
