System Team Leader

Position overwiew:

Lear is looking for a System Team Leader experienced in the development of On-Board Chargers and High Voltage DC/DC converters designs. Reporting to the Power Converters Global Systems Manager, your main role will to manage, plan and control the System Requirements, System Architecture and the System Testing in a project from customer requirements analysis to System requirements and System Architecture release and System Testing, whilst acting as the system interface to other project groups.

You will be involved in the development of electronic modules placed at the heart of the Electric Vehicles powertrain, from the concept definition until release for mass-production, being part of a skilled cross-functional and cross-regional team at the cutting edge of vehicle electrification technology.

 

 

Your responsibilities are:

  • Lead technical discussions with customers to clarify unclear product requirements finding the best trade-off solutions at system level to satisfy customer expectations
  • Acts as interface with Customer and the different multidisciplinary team of engineers (SW, HW, MECH...) for System Requirements, System Architecture and System Testing
  • Manage System resources of a project. Lead, plan, coordinate and control the System requirements, System Architectural Design and System testing activities
  • Supervise the creation of the Technical Safety Concept and System Architecture Analysis
  • Be synchronized with RFQ team to support technical proposals for new Power Converters business opportunities 
  • Support the identification/development of new technologies in Power Converters products to ensure Lear remain at the forefront of innovation and competitiveness
  • Perform estimations for projects (schedule, System resources, System Tools)
  • Report System project status. Lead and supervise risk management for System activities. Apply mitigation and contingency actions for identified risks
  • Follow the process defined for the Change Request & Problem Management Process (ensures that requested changes and defects are studied, managed, controlled properly, and escalated if needed)
  • Support the quality assurance planning and monitor that the defined quality standards are followed in a project

 


To be a success in this role you must have

  • Bachelor (preferably master) degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • + 5 years developing Power conversion products (On-boards chargers, DC/DC, PDUs) 
  • + 3 years of experience in Systems Requirements Engineering in Automotive industry
  • Know-how of Electric vehicle architectures or experience in design for high-voltage products
  • Knowledge of automotive applicable standards & processes (ASPICE, ISO26262, FMEA, FTA, 8D)
  • Knowledge of industry related tools (i.e. JIRA, DOORS, Subversion, EA, APIS-IQ)
  • Team Management, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Fluent spoken and written English
