Sales Manager (Multiple Locations Across Germany)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager being in charge of a key Automotive OEM customer who could be based across multiple Lear locations in Germany. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing key commercial activities and implementing sales strategies for the Interior Automotive Fabrics commodity - Guilford by Lear - to drive profitable growth within the Business Unit, while maintaining positive customer relationships. You will be part of the Lear’s Guilford Sales Team, reporting directly to the Sales and Program Director for Europe.

 

Your duties will include (but may not be limited to) :

 

  • Build up reliable customer relationship with Lear BU and External customer at decider level
  • Manage Sales Account with P&L responsibility via pricing maintenance and profitability ownership
  • Negotiate series projects and contracts with customer on Senior Management level
  • Manage negotiation and closure of commercial issues with timely conclusion
  • Improve, monitor and track programme profitability (margin improvement) from award to SOP
  • Deliver program(s) with committed financial metrics
  • Negotiate Engineering change requests
  • Report out program commercial status to senior level stakeholders
  • Create strong link between internal teams, plants and Lear BU/external customer

 

To be a success in this role you must have :

 

  • Automotive experience in Commercial role with proven record of Sales/Commercial negotiations and costing
  • Experience in interior parts commodities (knowledge of textile commodity would be a strong advantage)
  • Degree qualification in engineering or business studies
  • Fluent English & German with excellent verbal and written presentation skills
