An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Industrial Engineer to join our well-established plant first line leadership team of Manufacturing HQ, Italy. The position will be in Pozzo d’Adda plant , referring to HQ in Grugliasco, with approximately 150 personnel working within operations on site. Lear Corporation produces seats for some of the worlds most prestigious carmakers.

Reporting directly to Industrial Manufacturing Engineer, the Industrial Engineer will be responsible to improve project in Pozzo d’Adda plant and Lear Italy plants, according to Manufacturing Headquarter., The Industrial  Engineer will be entrusted with identifying and implementing new technologies and continuous improvement processes into the Pozzo Facility and supporting other Lear Italy plants.



Your duties will include (but may not be limited to)  

Managing, organizing and maintaining tools, also considering tools extension duration

Installing equipment, machines, lines and plants supplies according to central procedures

Planning and organizing activities related to new technology projects start- up

Identifying and implementing new technologies to drive continuous improvement of processes

Ensuring all industry and company required documentation is maintained to the agreed standard (PFMEAs, Launch Readiness Reviews, and updating of operating procedures)

To be a success in this position you will need 

A minimum of 3 years leadership experience ideally gained from working in a production environment

Knowledge of time trials, line Balancing, material handling, Poka Yokes, ergonomics, PFMEA, project planning and implementation

Strong drive, determination and organizational skills to manage your own projects through to delivery.

A strong understanding of Lean Production and continuous improvement principles

Bachelor’s degree in in an engineering related discipline

Excellent communication skills with a fluency in English and Italian languages
