Senior Engineering Manager

Position scope

Reporting to the Engineering Director, lead the Seating development activity for his respective department (Core engineering, Product engineering, others…) in accordance with the Customer & Legal specification. Ensure the developments timings, developments costs and all necessary activity defined and needed per the Programs targets and Corporation objectives & strategy.


Responsibility area

Responsible for a department development activities and technical content (Core engineering, Product engineering, others…)

Technical management interface to Customer, Supplier and internal departments management

Leadership of his Engineering Team department, set Project/department Directions according to Corporation strategy & objectives

Lead internal Team Meetings

Develop Team Strength and built development plan to keep at the higher level the team expertise

Support the guidelines and lessons learned application and/or creation per his department

Lead the Customer management/internal management reporting on monthly basis

Support and Create Budget for new Projects, Budget control, forecast follow up and define resources allocation according to BU needs

Responsible for his department Budget

Full understand the legal requirement for seat components

Support the Corporation and safety rules on his department

Support to Run design reviews

Support the LEAR procedure usage and knowledge

Ensure and track LEAR Profile deliverable

Support the ENG. Director on the LEAR strategy application


Job conditions

It can be required to move to the LEAR Production plant, Customer Facility/Tech center or to supplier facilities/Tech center for technical reviews on weekly basis or with a different frequency according to the Program or Corporation needed support.



Engineer degree

Strong communication skills,

Leadership skills

Minimum 5 year of Management position

Office knowledge needed
