Job Description, Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Ensuring the management and optimization of the industrialization process of each specific product / process in compliance with the times and costs / investments established-approved.
  • Ensure the design and definition of cycle times and their correct application, in collaboration with the industrial engineering of the plant, favoring the continuous flow of information.
  • It defines the industrial plan in terms of production processes (processing cycles, times and methods, layout) and costs, with reference to existing product development and / or product review projects, sharing it with the Operations.
  • It takes care of the design process of machinery / plants based on project requirements, collaborating with technology suppliers and with Lear designers.
  • Definition of the CAPEX (budget for investments in plants and equipment, also in the pre-awarding phase) to make industrialization feasible both at the offer level (essential for the quotation and approval of the customer) and at the specific project level (essential for the 'Lear internal approval).
  • Organizes and controls the project Planning’s assigned by the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Monitors and verifies that the issuance of the RdA / ODA (including the plant specifications) for the acquisition / modification of the equipment takes place in compliance with the technical / technological requirements of the product / process and on schedule.
  • Monitors the progress of construction activities at the supplier according to the project timing.
  • Coordinates the installation phase at the production sites of the machinery prepared by the supplier and shares the approval for testing with the factories.
  • It supports both internal and external bodies for the study and development of new production methods related to product and / or process improvement and the ergonomics of workstations.
  • It carries out industrial feasibility studies with reference to new possible business and / or industrial opportunities.
  • It collaborates with the Central Logistics for the definition and optimization of logistic flows according to the production process.
  • Defines and collaborates with the project development team (Engineering, Quality, Logistics, etc.) at the issuance of the initial project PFMEA.

 

Personality Requirements and Skills

  • University Graduate with bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 or more years of working experience in same positions and in structured companies
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Expertise in working with engineering and computer-assisted design software (Pro Planner, AUTOCAD, ecc…)
  • Demonstrated skill in solving complex technical problems
  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery and job-related service delivery equipment and processes
  • High level talent in computer technology and systems operations
  • High level of communication in English as well as Italian
