To our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team covering Europe and Africa region we are looking for passionate and dedicated EU Industry 4.0 Project Engineer. Project Engineer will support the execution of the Industry 4.0 projects for introducing intelligent automation into EU & Africa JIT and Structures Plants, as part of the EU I4.0 strategy. Working as part of the Integration Team, this includes managing and delivering key aspects of each project, reporting out to Project and Plant Management, communication with Suppliers, supporting the creation of Business cases with the Plant teams, feedback of lessons learned and opportunities to refine the standard solutions.
Scope of duties:
- Support the I4.0 Execution/Integration
- Support the creation of a clear business case or operational need for each project.
- Ensure all standards are adhered to, or signed deviation is issued.
- Support the forecast project spend profile.
- Creation of all RFQs/Sourcing Events as required in the purchasing system, ensuring conformance to Lear Standards and any lessons learned from previous projects.
- Ensuring project timing is adhered to and suppliers are managed proactively.
- Tracking of all I4.0 project savings and report creation, as required.
- Flawless launch and zero Customer impact.
- Actively use the Project Management standards defined for AME and Industry 4.0 projects
- Support the creation of Industry 4.0 Playbook, aligned to Corporate I4.0 direction, as required.
- Support development of Equipment, Automation, Controls and Process Standards by ensuring robust feedback from lessons learned during project execution.
- Ensure involvement of Plant stakeholders in active projects.
- Ensure training is effectively provided for all key stakeholders in the Plant.
- Working with the key Plant stakeholders, ensure all documentation is correct and understood.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Technical Field
- Experience in Industry 4.0 projects in manufacturing company would be a huge advantage
- Min. 5 years of professional experience (preferably in industrial engineering / automation / robotics/ CI / Lean)
- Fluent English
- Willingness and flexibility to travel within the role (up to 50%)
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and strategic approach
- Good communicator – comfortable in presenting to all levels within the business
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
