TEAM COACH - 2nd Shift
COLUMBIA CITY

 

The Team Coach plans and directs work activities of hourly production employees by performing the duties listed below. The Team Coach is part of the Production department and reports to the Plant Superintendent on the applicable shift.  This position may rotate so availability to work any shift is required!

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supervision and coordination of work activities of hourly production employees.
  • Feedback daily defects to management personnel and production employees.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Establish or adjust manpower to meet production schedules.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Administer disciplinary action as needed.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and problem resolution/general maintenance of machinery.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Recommend measures to improve efficiency as it relates to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Conduct meeting to resolve grievances or refer unresolved grievances to next step.
  • Assure adherence to the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (AA/AS); two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
