As a member of the Materials Team, the Warehouse/Materials Specialist will be responsible for coordinating shipping activities of warehouse with plant requirements, daily. Serves as primary contact and liaison with plant planning personnel. Direct activities of shipping dock personnel and freight carriers to meet schedule.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  •  Prepare load orders and direct activities of shipping personnel to support on-time delivery to customer.
  • Maintain safe and efficient shipping and part staging areas, including practices of dock personnel and condition of external dock area.
  • Supervision and coordination of work activities of material handling employees.
  • Ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreement, shop floor rules, and all safety and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate shipments to plant.
  • Inventory rotation and material flow optimization.
  • Report/resolve all issues affecting material handling equipment.
  • Train material handling operators and maintain forklift license records.
  • Make recommendations and contributions toward continuous improvement
  • Follow systems for IATF16949 and ISO 14001

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Must have solid communication and problem-solving skills in a team environment
  • Ability to work rotating schedules/overtime as needed.



Bonus if you Have:

  • Experience working in a JIT Manufacturing facility
  • Familiarity with EDI
