Role overview:

Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, the PSW  Quality engineer is responsible for the coordination, compliance, submission and championship of all PSW/PPAP activities from the supplier and  to the customer

This job is based in LEAR Coventry, UK.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for PSW / PPAP / APQP systems and procedures
  • To coordinate project teams for New Product Introduction activities.
  • Hold internal cross department meetings (Engineering/Programme/Quality/Manufacturing) to track Project progress, ensuring all relevant quality, delivery and specification requirements are met.
  • As main point of supplier and Customer contact, present performance of assigned projects against Programme timing & any resolution activities
  • Monitor Supplier PPAP timings and readiness
  • Support Plant team with Alert management process
  • IMDS status responsible
  • Collate all documents as required for supplier and customer approval. (APQP preparation, reviewing FMEA and Control Plans)
  • Hold document alignment reviews with the Supplier and Customer

  • APQP qualified ideally
  • IATF 16949 knowledge
  • Understanding of PMFMEA and control plans
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Ability to work with multiple programs and deadlines
