As a member of the Finance team, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing income, balance sheet, and various other accounting statements or reports.  Analyzing financial reports and records, and making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.  Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and instructs or assigns work to bookkeepers and clerks.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Requires some supervision.  Managers a broad functional area.
  • Responsible for Accuracy of Plant Financial Statements and Quarterly Attests.
  • Responsible for Financial Controls and ability to demonstrate their effectiveness to Internal and External Auditors.
  • Must be able to work with various levels of the organization (Division, Operations, Commercial, Systems).
  • Must be able to support and fill in for the Controller when necessary.
  • Responsible for reporting and monitoring key projects and providing monthly updates.
  • Responsible for various ad hoc requests/projects for plants, division and corporate.

Your Qualifications:

  • BS or BBA in Accounting or Finance
  • Requires 3+ Years of Finance Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven Communications and Organizational Skills
  • Previous Finance experience for a multi-national organization
  • Ability to interface across multiple organizations, product lines and levels in the organization
  • Ability to turn special requests around quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and reporting requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experienced with Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Retrieve or Equivalent


Bonus If You Have:

  • Master’s degree or CPA
  • Prior Automotive Experience
  • Open to Relocation
