Scope

  • To ensure that strategic material planning processes are in place to enable operational and production continuity. Takes a coordinating lead, working closely with internal and external parties to ensure supply of materials is in place to satisfy production requirements. Able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the definition of Supply Chain standards, guidelines, working methods, methodologies, and tools; ensure their deployment in the different sites and toward Suppliers.

 

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead of a Central Material planning team
  • Support MP&L Innovation, Strategy, Leadership & Vision with the goal of increasing supply chain performance.
  • Introduce and implement internal strategic materials systems and procedures to meet customer requirements.
  • Oversee analysis of customer schedules to identify demand and potential constraints.
  • Strategically manage the coordination of material supply into the plant to support manufacturing build.
  • Oversee the storage and supply of materials within the plant to support the facilitation of daily production and maintain housekeeping standards. Risk management and escalations.
  • Ensure the integrity of BOM data on the ERP system to enable accurate financial information to be extrapolated.
  • Ensure maintenance of ERP/MRP parameters
  • KPI development, monitoring and action plans definition
  • Ensure stock accuracy within the ERP system to enable effective management of material component supply.
  • Driving seamless launches with no materials related disruptions
  • Facilitate the timing of engineering level change to ensure maximum traceability and minimum stock loss.
  • Work effectively with other internal departments such as Manufacturing, Quality, HR and Finance
  • Ensure that suppliers are managed and developed to meet the requirements of the products and service to ensure the most effective ongoing service is provided with existing and new product information.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role preferably within automotive
  • University education
  • Fluent in English. French highly preferred. Any other language would be positively valued
