Role overview:
A great new opportunity has opened up to join our Europe & Africa Central Logistics Team as Transports Analyst basedin Grugliasco HQ.
Your main mission would be to work out and plan all logistic and materials functions for the JIT Plant.
You will be in charge of establishing suppliers and service providers to meet Customer needs and expectations, make recommendations to improve the efficiency of the workflow of the products while reducing costs. You will also review and design logistics network to improve efficiency and reduce costs and support the plants in areas such as transportation, shipment, warehousing, and material flow.
Main Responsibilities:
- Compares prices and makes vendor selections or suggestions
- Analyses and administrates policies and contracts
- Carries out RfQ’s, negotiates selected pan-European contracts with transportation and logistics companies
- Follow up with suppliers and service providers on self-initiative
- Assists divisional Purchasing in making sourcing decisions with regards to EXW/FCA or DDP/DDU
- Escalation and support for transport issues at production facilities
- Transport KPIs supervision and improvement
- CI/OIP in Logistics transportation
- Support Transport budget preparation
- Packaging definitions, follow up and improvements
- Container loop calculation and updates
- Collaborate in material Flow design and updates
- Collaborate in transport network strategies definitions
- Create statistics and analyses opportunities
Key skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering, Business, IT or related field (Major in logistics preferred).
- Fluent English is a must and French would be positive to have.
- Ability to be part of teams capable to reach the Plant targets.
- 3 years’ work experience in Logistics Environment (Supply Chain Management).
- Experience with Freight Forwarding and Logistics
- Initial steps in team management or coordination
