Key Tasks:
• Responsible for cost and lead time estimations in early project phase in cooperation with Category cost estimators
• Communicate specific supplier related needs/gaps found in projects to Category team
• Inform Category team about new projects and support consolidation and combined negotiations in order to get leverage opportunities
• Follow project plan to support PPAP and SOP timings set by project
• Align bidders list with Category strategies in cooperation with Category buyers
• Perform quote analysis and negotiate component prices and terms and optimal logistics parameters for keeping optimal cost level
• Analyse and negotiate offers to assure best cost for project/KA and use the total cost of Ownership (TCO ) concept as a foundation for decision making and applies best practice sourcing methodology
• Ensure potentials for carry over solutions are considered & material specifications optimized.
• Conduct supply chain feasibility analysis (supplier capabilities, availability, capacity, risk assessment and anticipation for both product, process & supply chain).
• Secure consolidation and combined negotiations in order to get leverage opportunities
• Secure capacity, pricing and leverage additional volumes, for existing parts
• Resource existing parts that do not meet supplier strategic criteria
• Assure supplier feasibility is collected for all parts where applicable
• Handle delivery disruption in Projects escalated from Transactional - in accordance with escalations procedure
• Assure supplier selections are made on time in accordance with project time lines and that recommendations are in line with approved Category strategies
• Direct performance follow-up during the project phase. Manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the project phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the project phase reviews are supported within the framework of the KBD-NPI process
• Propose re-sourcing for components used cross-projects to Category/Product teams
• Provide project with info on prototype timing and prices and place orders for those based on project requisitions
• Co-operate with and hand over to Product buyers when project is closed or all purchasing activities has been finalized

- Previous experience in production environments purchasing may be a plus
