Key Tasks:

  • Establish strategy and best practices for staff to ensure achievement of overall business objectives. Work with the senior management team to translate strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives. including KPIs, and to track them
  • Review opportunities to improve operational and financial performance and to ensure minimal operational disruption and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Interpret and analyze complex data and trends and develop recommendations and strategies based on analysis.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
  • Take ownership of MP&L policies, procedures, guidelines, and any associated documents
  • Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
  • Ensure IT systems in place are effective, accurate and maintained and review opportunities to standardize and streamline utilizing current or new systems.
  • Provide leadership to departments under control and manage, coach, and develop direct reports and manage high performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements
  • Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate
  • Effectively collaborate with various departments including Operations, Purchasing, Finance & others to ensure escalations controlled & necessary support provided.
  • Problem Solving: Use and encourage the use of practical problem-solving techniques to ensure problems are correctly root caused and appropriate solutions found.

 

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in the Automotive industry from a logistics perspective

  • Extensive knowledge of end to end supply chain and systems such as (ERP / WMS)

  • People development / leadership skills

  • Motivational and positive mindset, with a can do will do attitude

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel regularly

  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
