Director, Electrical & Electronics Architecture (EEA) Product Manager

SOUTHFIELD, MI

 

The Electrical and Electronics Architecture (EEA) Product Manager will be responsible for holistic vehicle domain (electrical, body, comfort, chassis, ADAS, etc.) expertise; distilling domain requirements and trends into Lear product line specific impacts; and identifying systems level differentiation opportunities. 

 

The Role

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Work with Lear product management, global technical sales, and engineering to develop comprehensive understanding of today and future vehicle hardware and software domain requirements
  • Distill domain trends and requirements to product line specific impacts
  • Support product line roadmap definition
  • Lead OEM segmentation by EE architecture type
  • Support development of Lear comprehensive zonal based architecture (EDS, ECUs, SW) concept which encompasses all vehicle domains
  • Develop comprehensive vehicle software partioning strategy
  • Develop value proposition for Lear’s zonal based approach (ex. cost, weight reduction)
  • Engage with OEM customer’s EE architecture teams to understand specific requirements and ensure internal Lear roadmap alignment
  • Identify hardware/software harmonization opportunities across Lear’s electronics portfolio
  • Develop and support executive level product line strategies presentations
  • Develop product presentations for and support customer meetings
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders for the electrical and electronics architecture ecosystem within and outside of Lear

 

Your Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive electronics and EDS architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze disparate pieces of information and synthesize into a holistic platform strategy
  • Experience developing / defining systems level EE architecture requirements for multiple vehicle functional domains (Comfort, Powertrain, Chassis, ADAS, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make presentations to all levels within and outside the organization (peers, management, executives, and customers)      
  • Proficiency in excel
