ISERIES RPG DEVELOPER
JOB LOCATION: SOUTHFIELD WORLD HEADQUARTERS

 

Software development on iSeries(AS/400), RPG/CL languages.  Analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of applications. Develop applications within LearPICs ERP system.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop software components utilizing RPG within LearPICs ERP system
  • Work with Development Team Lead on design and analysis of software, including supporting documentation
  • Perform testing on developed applications
  • As required, work with user community during development and testing phases
  • Adhere to internal software development standards and change management procedures

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Professional experience using IBM i Operating System, Db2 for i database, ILE RPG, CL, DSPFs/PRTFs, query, SDA
  • Knowledge of communication methodologies - FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Data Queues, IBM MQ, etc
  • Good understanding of structured programming concepts and methodologies
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related degree
  • 3+ years experience in application development
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial, but able to operate effectively in a team
  • Confident and self-assured, able to adapt to an environment that is different than where he/she came from
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Ability to stay focused
  • Results driven
  • Active listener
  • Able to “think outside the box”

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience in an Automotive IT environment
  • Experience with EDI, TL Ashford label software, and IBM i networking knowledge would be beneficial
  • Experience using bug tracking and workflow software like Atlassian’s JIRA, etc
