We are looking for an IT specialist for the Vigo plant to work in 4 different shifts and provide IT support to the Lear JIT Manufacturing site during rotational shifts and supporting all functional areas.

 

SCOPE OF THE POSITION

•    Good communicator capable of operating well under pressure. 
•    Adaptable and ability to lead/embrace change.
•    Ensure compliance with IT governance requirements, initiatives and practices through promotion and consistent operation of controls in execution of daily responsibilities.
•    Maintain computer systems. Currently running on Windows Server 2016/2019 and Windows 10 OS including backups, restoring and storage and monitoring procedures.
•    Monitoring and maintaining systems to guarantee the integrity and security of company data.
•    Maintenance and upkeep of networking infrastructure.
•    Managing and ensuring 1st class service levels are provided to support all customers during the production shift
•    Tracking and updating hardware, software and contract information within corporate configuration management database.
•    Ensure compliance to ISMS and Sarbanes Oxley requirements for IT systems and operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing 1st line technical support and problem analysis/rectification.  Co-ordinating, prioritising, and organising the local IT tasks and open items using corporate Incident management application.
  • Providing support for office IT equipment and software by problem-solving and end-user training enabling productive/efficient practices.
  • Upgrade and update hardware/software to meet user requirements to increase productivity and maintain stability.
  • Ensure communication stability/performance of the LAN/WAN by monitoring and solving issues.
  • Follow established procedures of backup routine and system monitoring to ensure data integrity, security and accuracy.
  • Ensure documentation and procedures are maintained and improved upon to enable smooth operations, sustain a knowledge base, self-reliance and an accruable history database.
  • Plan and perform appropriate preventative maintenance by ensuring regular contractual maintenance on all essential equipment to ensure minimum downtime during production hours.
  • Ensuring maximum availability of all computer systems throughout the plant, including hardware, networks, IT security and telecommunications.
  • Provide support for mobile peripheral devices.
  • Ensure smooth operation/support of the IT operations by monitoring and resolving data flow to maintain ongoing production on a shift-by-shift basis, including weekends and night shift
  • Sustain stock of spare IT devices required to ensure daily operations.
  • Ensure IT support is available for production critical issues during the shift.

 

Required Technical Skills:

 

•    3 years’ work experience in IT System Support Environment
•    Hardware – Servers, Cisco wired and wireless infrastructures and Workstations & Laptops.  
•    Software:
o    Windows Server 2016/2019
o    Windows 10/11 Workstations & MS Office 
o    Microsoft SQL Server administration
o    VMware 5 or above
•    Comms – Cisco networking experience including switches and wireless access points, TCP/IP protocol, DHCP, DNS.
•    Cabling – structured cabling system, category 6 Ethernet & fibre.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • CFGS in IT
  • Deep knowledge or certification in one of the following areas :-
  • Windows
  • Windows Server
  • MS SQL
  • Cisco CCENT, CCT
  • VMWare ESX
