INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER
OSHAWA, ONTARIO

As a member of the Engineering team, the Engineer will be responsible for increasing production and operation efficiency, through people management, technology, and business organization.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develops implementation strategies for modifications to plant layout (AutoCAD) and production processes.
  • Determines manpower requirements and modifies work methods.
  • Updates labour routings and operation descriptions.
  • Designs and/or specifies work fixtures and modifies as required by production.
  • Researches and purchases tools and equipment as required.
  • Sets labour standards through Time Studies or Most Analysis for existing or future processes.
  • Creates various reports as required (i.e. labour reduction plan, etc.)
  • Performs cost analysis to determine feasibility of new products or processes.
  • Analyzes ergonomic concerns and implements solutions.
  • Creates and maintains APQP documents (i.e. PFMEA, PFD, SWI for present & future plant processes).
  • Assists with MOE certificate of approval process.
  • Manages facility alterations and improvements.

Your Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency.
  • Degree/Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 3 years’ experience in an Industrial Engineering setting preferably within the manufacturing/ automotive industry.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
