Job Description

 

Develops and manages new and existing programs by recommending, monitoring or adjusting appropriate plant operating procedures to meet program requirements within the manufacturing facility

  • Coordinates program vendor activities including design, tooling, and parts suppliers to ensure cost, delivery, and quality targets are met according to customer requirements and schedules
  • Prepares quotations for piece cost and tooling. Provides technical launch support at customer assembly locations
  • Control program budget: Plan vs Actual.
  • Ensure closure of actions in Lear Pro (LPMP) assigned to the program in all project phases, including actions assigned to the Cross Functional Team.
  • Ensure DCN closure on time aligned with SOP.
  • Manage and coordinate the cross-functional team for implementation of launches and engineering changes.
  • Must have experience in atomotive electronics process. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that defined activities are completed according to the timeline.
  • Provide support to the cross-functional team on issues related to launches and/or engineering changes.
  • Coordinate meetings with the cross-functional team for program improvements through DFM.
  • Lead engineering changes according to Engineering Change Control.
  • Lead engineering launches according to NPI Control. 
  • Ensure compliance with standards/regulations such as IATF, VDA, ISO, customer-specific requirements, and those defined by the organization.
  • Ensure, together with the Industrial Engineering team, that contractual capacity is aligned with installed capacity to meet demand, including peak production levels.
  • Ensure availability of resources to meet project requirements regarding part deliveries at each project stage.
  • Act as the link for customer needs through the PM, communicating specific requirements to the cross-functional team.
  • Coordinate and plan sample deliveries prior to each production stage with the support of the cross-functional team.
  • Responsible for updating the plant review and closing deliverables subject to LearPro (LPMP). #LI-AG1

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or any related field. 

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive electronics process.
  • Must have experience in NPI and engineering changes in automotive electronics process.
