Lear Corporation was founded in 1917 and is now headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, USA. The development center in Brno was founded in 2017. The activity of this center is focused on the development of fuse boxes, terminals, connectors and other components for cable harnesses in cars. There are currently 50 employees, most of whom are Product Designers. Another part of the employees are Program managers and representatives from the commercial and financial departments. The development center offers complete services in the development and implementation of products into production. Projects are implemented here from the initial design of products based on customer requirements, through the creation of drawing documentation, simulation, quality analysis, prototype testing and subsequent transfer to series production.

As a data and visualization engineer you will be engaged with various departments to understand their data and preform analysis of the raw data to turn it in to meaningful information to support strategic decisions. Supporting industry 4.0 projects and the rollout of inactivates that are identified.

SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

• Participate in multiple projects right from the initial problem statement.
• Creating a toolset to be used as a standard across Lear for analyzing and presenting data in a meaningful manor to senior management.
• Experience in data mining methods and data tools (Power Bi, Dundas Bi)
• Generating large databases from various sources of both structured and unstructured data.
• Analyzing data and generate statistical information to showcase trends and patterns from customer forecast data.
• Must have the ability to transform technical data into a manageable understanding to give recommendations and conclusions to stakeholders.
• Develop interactive dashboards that combines visuals with real time data.
• Understanding the phases of program and product delivery and being able to contribute expert analysis across the program lifecycle.
• Working with technologies both new and old to integrate separate data feeds to transform and map into new scalable datasets.
• Publishing KPI for global performance charts.
• Ensure system optimization for all hardware and technology resources.
• The ability to work independently.
• Have great interpersonal skills and build relationships at various levels in all departments.
• Maintain Engineering Sharepoint to secure standardize trainings for newcomers, maintain the team information strink, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

• English language at a very good level
• Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• High level of self-motivation
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to expert level of knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
• Intermediate level of software development stills.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• 3 years’ work experience in IT system environment preferred.
• 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing/automotive support environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
• Innovative thinker with capability of driving business improvement through the company.
• Able to work with tight deadlines to meet business requirements.
• Cloud based computing desirable.
• Dundas BI or Power BI experience/knowledge
