Job Description

Thagora by Lear is a leather cutting technology for the furniture and automotive industry. It combines advanced software, algorithms, and equipment to bring automation, increased leather savings and productivity. Over 18 years of activity and continuous investments in R&D enabled us to build a significant collection of proprietary software algorithms and hardware equipment.
We are seeking for a C++ Developer who will have to write new code, build and implement functional programs. A high degree of autonomy is offered and we expect you will use it to make decisions and shape the future of our software stack. We expect some degree of specialization on technology but if that does not align with the one we are using at the moment, we don’t mind.

Responsibilities

• Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications;
• Testing and deploying programs and systems;
• Fixing and improving existing software: adapting it to new hardware, improving its performance, or upgrade interfaces;
• Consulting engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements;
• Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences;
• Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities;
• Being a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience as a C++ software developer;
• Current knowledge of C++ standards and specifications;
• Knowledge of QT represents an advantage;
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar;
• Availability for a full-time job;
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies;
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment;
• Ability to learn new technologies;
• Pragmatism, resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude;
• Knowledge of Romanian and English.
