Job Description
Job Title: OT Network Administrator - Embedded Systems & Smart Interface Engineer
Job Location: Central Offices (Ciudad Juarez, MEX).
Objectives: Integrate autonomous mobility systems (AGV/AMR), industrial robotics, and digital interfaces into a unified automation ecosystem. This role bridges mechanical automation with digital connectivity, ensuring seamless data flow between equipment and SCADA/MES platforms. The engineer develops scalable solutions that enable synchronized robotic operations, material mobility, and real-time digital integration, driving Industry 4.0 initiatives through traceability, interoperability, and intelligent automation.
YOUR TASKS WILL BE
- Development of embedded control applications with PID tuning and precision logic for robotics and AGV/AMR systems.
- Script design for data exchange via APIs and Web Services (JSON, REST) to connect robots, mobility systems, and digital platforms.
- Integration through MODBUS TCP/RTU, Web APIs, and HTTP request handling for SCADA (Ignition preferable).
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database architecture for traceability, analytics, and interoperability.
- Implementation of AI/ML models for intelligent alerts, predictive maintenance, and pattern analysis in robotic and mobility operations.
- Development of error-proofing (poka-yoke) features in robotic and mobility control systems.
- Collaboration with hardware teams for seamless integration of robotics, AGVs/AMRs, and digital interfaces.
- Technical documentation for system logic, integration processes, and deployment guidelines.
- Participation in innovation projects focused on Industry 4.0, smart robotics, and digital integration.
- Coordination of deployments across plants according to digitalization and data extraction implementation plans.
- MUST Supervise and coordinate activities related to electronic system maintenance, including corrective and preventive procedures.
- MUST Participate in applied research and development projects aimed at solving industry-relevant technical challenges.
- MUST Communicate technical knowledge and project outcomes effectively across departments to foster collaboration and continuous learning.
- MUST Demonstrate strong leadership and interdisciplinary teamwork skills to build, direct, and manage professional teams or organizational systems.
- MUST be willing to collaborate to interdisciplinary work when required, supporting cross-functional initiatives with team-oriented mindset.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Digital Systems Engineering or related field.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment.
Languages
- English advanced.
