We have a great opportunity as an Import/Export operations coordinator based in our corporate offices in Juarez, Chihuahua.

As an Import/Export operations coordinator you will have the opportunity to ensure and manage regulatory compliance and the proper handling of import, export, refund, and transfer requests, ensuring the traceability, legality, and control of foreign trade operations, contributing to compliance with development programs (IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA) and mitigating legal, administrative, financial, and reputational risks for the organization.

YOUR MAIN RESPONISIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Oversee the comprehensive management of customs orders, ensuring the opening, validation, payment, and closing processes.
  • Ensure the operations alignment in accordance with the regulations of the IMMEX, PROSEC, CTPAT - OEA and VAT - IEPS programs and application of existing benefits.                                               
  • Review tariff classification and compliance with NOMs, promoting the correct application of technical and legal criteria in each operation.
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation and handling of internal and/or external audits, providing timely and accurate responses to requirements.

                   

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s in international Trade, International Business, or Customs Law, master’s degree or diploma in Foreign Trade or similar is an added asset.
  • 3+ years of working experience in customs and tax compliance roles within multinational companies or customs brokerage firms.   
  • Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of tariff classification
  • Dealing with Mexican customs brokers agencies                                                               
  • Extensive knowledge of Annex 22 and leading audits as required by Mexican and U.S. authorities
