Lear Corporation are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team within our E-Systems (Electrical) division. You will be based at our world class UK Headquarters in Coventry looking after parts of our Wire Harness business for a prestigious OEM.




The Account Manager will be working directly with our OEM customers taking an active role in building a long term successful and mutually beneficial relationship. The Account Manager will be directly responsible for building and maintaining the wire harness and EDS business.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Working with a cross functional team in manufacturing and EDS to ensure accuracy of information
  • Responsibility to ensure responses to RFQ’s are accurate and timely answered
  • Take an active role in costing strategy for wire harness
  • Growing the EDS/Wire Harness business with the customer through ongoing sourcing opportunities
  • Act as the first point of escalation with the customer and work to resolve open commercial disputes
  • Protect the interests of Lear whilst managing customer expectations
  • Growing margin on awarded programs
  • Seeking out new business opportunities within EDS/Wire Harness and vertical integration opportunities
  • Growing the top line revenue for assigned customers
  • Processing and creating quotations to our customers
  • Follow up on quality or material delivery concerns


Desirable experience:


  • Experience in negotiating with OEM customers
  • Experience in tracking price changes, maintaining accurate records of changes including margin impacts
  • Knowledge or exposure to EDS/Wire Harness would be advantageous
