Role Purpose


You will manage and control Bill of Materials (BOM) data during pre-production, ensuring accurate part structures move from engineering into manufacturing and logistics.

Key Responsibilities


• Ensure all parts and BOM structures are accurate and released correctly into plant systems• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams
• Maintain and update BOM data, including changes from engineering (ECNs)
• Track and manage part numbers, units of measure, and system alignment
• Support new product launches and pre-production builds
• Create and maintain BOMs for special orders and production requirements
• Run and support MRP (Material Requirements Planning) activities
• Manage material status and ensure availability for build schedules
• Support engineering change processes and ensure system updates are accurate
• Maintain data integrity across systems (e.g., BPCS or similar)

Key Requirements


Experience


• Experience working with BOMs or material planning systems• Background in manufacturing, automotive, or logistics preferred
• Exposure to MRP systems / ERP systems (e.g., BPCS, SAP, etc.)
• Experience supporting pre-production or new product introduction is a plus

Skills


• Strong attention to detail (this role is data-critical)
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Confident working with Excel and systems
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• Qualification in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience)
• NVQ Level 3 or similar (preferred)
