Following the award of multiple programs in 2020 for Global OEM Customer Groups, Lear is seeking to recruit for a Regional Systems Engineering Manager to lead systems architecture within its Europe and Africa wiring division. The Systems Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring the best in class design whilst simultaneously ensuring a robust approach to cost optimization. 

 

 

Tasks may include (but not limited to)

 

  • Managing and Coaching a multi-cultural system engineering team across Europe
  • Working to streamline the approach to customer changes and requirements
  • Working with leadership teams to develop Continuous Improvement within the product validation process  
  • Strategically working to support vertical integration plans into the regional wiring division
  • Developing processes and products that give Lear an innovative advantage in the marketplace

 

Professional / Personnel Experience Required

 

  • 5 years + working experience of product lifecycle within automotive wiring sector
  • Direct experience in leading Systems Architecture within automotive wiring
  • Exposure to launching new products specifically within the automotive wiring sector
  • Leadership experience in overseeing teams within the fields of test and validation
  • Excellent communication skills – fluency in English language is mandatory
  • A degree qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
