Position Overview
As a part of the EU Africa IT Leadership Team, the IT Industry 4 0 Director partners with regional operations leaders to provide cost effective and innovative technology solutions to Lear Business Units in line with the organisation’s Innovative Digital Engineered Automation iDEA strategy The IT Industry 4 0 Director will drive awareness within regional IT teams on AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) IT technologies, business opportunities and ongoing project status whilst providing guidance and due diligence on new technology implementation strategies and supplier selection
Position responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
• Managing and driving the IT iDEA Portfolio to ensure delivery against ‘Demand of Projects’ with the highest impact to Lear, prioritizing technology investment and resources
•Engaging with Corporate Infrastructure and Security COE (Center of Excellence) for guidance and direction for regional activities
• Working closely with operations teams to define technology roadmaps and implementation strategy to drive Lear’s iDEA implementation
• Participating in leadership forecast reviews over course of calendar year highlighting deviations, risks and opportunities for iDEA projects
• Engaging with the Lear IT shop floor team in AME activities where appropriate and to support deployment of iDEA projects into operations
• Identifying and participating in external forums, exhibitions, technology road shows ( to stay at forefront of digital IT technology within industry 4 0
• Drive awareness within regional IT and AME teams on latest Industry 4 0 technology trends
To be a success in this role you must have:
• High level of technical understanding in digital and automated engineering technologies associated high volume manufacturing
• Experience in overseeing project execution and delivery
• Leverage Industry 4 0 technologies, including IoT, Cloud, AI, machine learning, and automation, to optimise manufacturing processes
• Expertise in IT Vendor Management, IT Partners, IT Eco systems
• Expertise at Budget and Long Range Plan Management and system Development Lifecycle Management
