Position overview:

 

Reporting directly to Plant Manager, our future Operations & Launch Manager, will be responsible to lead the Operations team in the launch of new programs and projects & head up the existing business in line with the business KPI’s.

 

You would me in charge of leading the Operations & separately the Launch Product Coach team to understand and deliver the Programme or Project requirements from the design concept to installation and product launch. You will work closely with the Programme Management and Design Engineering teams to understand the requirement for the Plant Operations team and manage the launch through all the gateway phases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide leadership to the Operations & Launch team by setting performance expectations, provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure Program / Project milestones are achieved.
  • Define Plant Operations requirements from the scope of the Program or Project to deliver a robust process.
  • Define & manage CAPEX & Start Up costs throughout the project.
  • Working with the team to plan & execute Pre-Production builds including ordering new parts and BOM Validation events.
  • Ensuring Lear Pro manufacturing deliverables are submitted to schedule.
  • Review project progress with the Customer & Senior internal team
  • Report launch status at all Program gateway reviews.
  • Working with the launch team, ensure all new equipment is specified and installed to deliver a robust process.
  • Develop training plans and events for new processes.
  • Manage multiple Programs & Projects
  • Generate timing plans for all launch phases.
  • Ensure all Product changes are costed.
  • Meet all day-to-day KPI’s in Operations & lead the Manufacturing Managers to deliver their daily tasks.

 

 

Key skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience of leading Cross Functional teams.
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Comfortable in presenting to Customers and Senior Management
  • Ability to Manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Qualifications : Preferred :
    • Automotive 1st Tier Operational Management role experience.
    • Project Management experience
    • Proficient in Lear systems.
    • Degree level education
    • Project Management Qualification
