Manufacturing System IT Implementation Leader (LJS)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT professional to join our team and work with our internal manufacturing system software Lear Just-in-time System (LJS). LJS is a proprietary manufacturing execution system written in-house. The main function of LJS is to communicate with shop floor devices on the production line to a defined build process, ensuring results and safety critical data are captured and recorded for future reference.



  • Implement in house LJS (Lear JIT System) across European plants
  • To ensure the smooth launching of new LJS projects across European facilities
  • To provide a support structure for existing implementations
  • To undertake the training of onsite staff to become self-sufficient in the operating and configuration of the LJS software product, and to improve and develop documentation to further aid this process
  • Develop new ideas and new technologies to solve business problems
  • To improve quality for our customers looking for opportunities to reduce cost and improve our profitability




  • Bachelor Degree
  • Understanding of Automotive Manufacturing JIT Processes.
  • Understanding of EDI and data communication standards used in the Automotive Industry
  • To be able to formulate logical statements of system computing problems and devising solutions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies – Windows Server, IIS, SQL server and reporting services
  • DBA experience (SQL server)
  • Knowledge of JIT interfaces for various ERP systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of project management & systems development best practice
  • Installation and setup of production based servers (clustering and virtualisation)
  • Very good English skills (written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel and perform remote support
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Willingness to constantly learn and explore new technology
