Position Overview

 

The role of the Trim Developer is to develop the trim cover to the customers Design     Intent, STO, aligned to the program cost, timing and given Plant feasibility.

Work closely with the Trim Engineer and JIT team, support internal customer reviews, verify trim content aligns to Master Pattern drawing and BOM’s. Guarantee that the product is complaint, innovative (where required), robust and feasible for production assembly and methods.

 

Main Responsibilities :

 

 

  • Trim develop cover aligned to Design Intent and STO, hang on parts allied to Master Pattern BOM and lamination strategy. Outstanding Craftsmanship with no feasibility issues.
  • All customer requests to deviate away from initial program assumptions to be initiated only when prior agreement given by Trim Engineer any deviation to be clearly defined on CDS sheet for downstream stakeholders. 
  • Prepare drawing (marks ups) for all internal designed parts, HOP’s.
  • Generate Mylar master patterns, with clear annotation, measured sew points, fabric direction, aligned to apposing patterns.
  • Fully competent in PDS to update patterns.
  • Fully competent in using all industrial sewing machines, become skilled in all aspects of sewing, joining, twining, decking, and piping.
  • Time management
