RECEIVING SUPERVISOR

LEAR DUNCAN, SC PLANT
 

As a member of the Materials team, the Receiving Supervisor will work in a high-performance self-directed work team environment and partner with our management team to align our materials department initiatives and functions with the objectives of the business.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Supervision of hourly employees within the materials department.
• Stages trucks for unloading, verifies count of parts coming off trucks. Receives and delivers non-production and production parts.
• Monitors production lines to ensure stock levels and housekeeping are maintained.
• Completes paperwork for outbound shipments, shift reports, and daily receiving logs.
• Captures are break points relating to material changes.
• Ensures material lineside, and in offline storage, is correctly identified.
• Maintain PFEP lineside and offline storage.
• Answers radio calls to support production.
• Maintains all shipping/receiving logs, trailer seal logs, etc.
• Communicates with drivers regarding delivery issues.
• Ensures drivers maintain equipment and delivers safety talk to drivers monthly.
• Walks the line at the end of shift to ensure plant is ready for next shift.
• Arranges for removal/replacement of trailers, removal of waste, cardboard, etc.
• On the night shift, check the status of parts and help expedite them when necessary.
• Must comply with Company, Environmental and IATF policies/programs and foster continuous improvement.
• Reviews current policies and practices and makes recommendations for changes if appropriate.
• Recognizes and understands the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
• Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.

Your Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience in Shipping/Receiving or Warehouse functions preferably within the manufacturing/automotive industry.
• Supervisory experience
• SAP experience, Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.
• Must understand lean manufacturing practices and principles and be able to affect change in an operations environment.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a team environment, effective communication, and people skills.
• Planning, organization, time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and high attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Must be available to work scheduled overtime and an alternating shift pattern.
• Must be able to work alternate shift pattern.
