Lear has been operating in Serbia since 2016, offering a wide range of products and demonstrating strong expertise in electrical distribution and global comfort systems. With our 2 main sites in Novi Sad (E-systems) and Indjija (global comfort systems) we are employing more than 4500 diverse and talented team members.  

From 2023. company I.G.Bauerhin GmbH (IGB automotive), global supplier of thermal comfort systems, continues to work under name of Lear corporation. We are working on 3 sites in Inđija, Lazarevac and Lajkovac.


Position overview: Collaboration and participation in the processing and control of internal regulations on occupational safety as well as processing and control of corporate safety and health protection at work and fire protection. Support Health, Safety and Environmental organization, supporting EH&S continual improvement, adherence to Lear standards and best practices, and legal compliance – providing leadership for the overall EHS program, and serving as a role model and mentor for leadership with respect to both behaviors and outcomes. Responsible for all 3 sites – Indjija, Lajkovac and Lazarevac.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Processing of internal and corporate regulations on occupational safety and health
  • Coordination and implementation of corporate regulations on occupational H&S
  • Processing of internal regulations on the provision of protective and hygienic devices
  • Control measures to ensure safety and health at work and in coordinated plants
  • Evidence of accidents at work, evaluation of their causes with proposal for measures leading to increased safety and health at work
  • Ensuring co-operation with the legal authorities in Serbia and the state oversight authorities on safety and health at work
  • Ensuring co-operation with the Occupational Health Service
  • Design changes in work practices and production technologies at the risk of endangering life and health
  • Ensure co-operation with employee or trade union councils in the field of health and safety at work
  • Implementing employee training on safety and health at work under internal procedures
  • Check compliance with hygiene regulations and use of protective equipment and aids
  • Checking evidence of the inclusion of workers and workplaces in the relevant risk category and keeping the relevant documentation
  • Work in accordance with internal company standards and ISO procedures
  • Records of the medical examinations performed
  • Execution of preventive fire inspections and providing training on fire protection
  • Develop and maintain fire protection documentation in accordance with the actual state
  • Determining fire safety requirements for building use and change in use of the building and organizing and evaluating training fire alarms.
  • Responsibility and authority for corrective and preventive action according to IATF 16949:2016
  • Lead team of 2 EHS Specialists and overview 3 locations


Key skills and Qualifications:


  • Completed university education, preferably in Health & Safety or technical orientation
  • Valid certificate for safety technician
  • Valid certificate for fire protection technician
  • ISO 45001, ISO 14001 experience
  • Advanced English
  • Minimum 3 years’ EHS experience
  • Experience from the manufacturing company, preferably automotive
  • Readiness for travel to 2 sites on weekly basis (Lazarevac, Lajkovac)
  • Organizational skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and accountability
  • Target orientation
